Welcome to the website for the Georgia Nonviolent Communication Network (GaNVC).
We provide information about Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and contact information for people who would like to help you get involved with NVC.
We have seen our lives transformed by our efforts to communicate compassionately and nonviolently, and we hope to encourage you in achieving a similar transformation.
“When we understand the needs that motivate our own and other's behavior, we have no enemies.”
— Marshall Rosenberg

About
About GaNVC — The Georgia Nonviolent Communication Network
Since 2002, Cynthia Moe and Mark Feinknopf have been spreading awareness of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in Atlanta by sponsoring trainings, practice groups, and visits by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., Founder of the international Center for Nonviolent Communication. Continuing with, and expanding on, their efforts, we have formed the Georgia Nonviolent Communication Network, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization.
Our Mission:
- To practice Nonviolent Communication in our own lives
- To promote Nonviolent Communication in various communities, such as neighborhoods, businesses, schools and government.
Realizing Our Mission:
We have a variety of activities and projects, including:
- Facilitating Weekly Practice Groups throughout Metro Atlanta
- Sponsoring workshops, retreats, and Intensive Trainings
- Giving Lectures and Presentations to businesses and civic groups
- Consulting with individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Organizing initiatives to bring NVC into the business, healthcare, faith-based, and educational communities
About Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
Effective communication skills for work, family, home and community! Most of us are hungry for effective communication skills to strengthen the quality of our personal or professional relationships, to heal pain, resolve conflicts, or simply to communicate more effectively. The Nonviolent Communication process provides a simple yet powerful method for saying what’s on your mind, or in your heart, clearly and effectively.
About the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)
The Center for Nonviolent Communication is a global, non-profit organization located in California. It's vision is a world where all people are getting their needs met and resolving their conflicts peacefully. In this vision people are using Nonviolent Communication to create and participate in networks of worldwide life-serving systems in economics, education, justice, healthcare, and peace-keeping. “NVC is founded on language and communication skills that strengthen our ability to remain human, even under trying conditions.”
— Marshall B. Rosenberg
