Lifelong interest in the health of communities and individuals continues to guide my efforts and path. By practicing client-responsive architecture and urban planning for over 40 years, I have had the opportunity to support clarity and understanding for a large number of people of all ages. Practicing Nonviolent Communication skills and principles in recent years helps me to be even more present to clients, friends and family so that I can truly hear their full experience. By applying the NVC principle of focusing on feelings, needs and hearing the goals and passions underlying another’s thoughts, we jointly experience the increased self-understanding and clarity that is critical to human collaboration and connection.
Wanting the whole world to have benefit of Nonviolent Communication support fueled my desire to be a part of the Atlanta EVAL Team’s work. Providing “the world” evidence that utilizing NVC really does enrich life and promote peace is profound for me. I’m excited about the possibility of supporting trainers worldwide in attracting audiences to their training through the data our studies provide.
